The staff of the ZVEZDA-ENERGETIKA, JSC has started production tests of the marine diesel generator sets. The tests are being conducted in the framework of the project dedicated to the construction of the marine diesel generator sets based on the General Electric engine 16V250MDC

The project customer is Rosneft, PJSC. All of the test results are presented to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) commissioner in order to obtain the valid certificates of the organization.
Today 2 marine diesel generator sets have been successfully tested and certified by the RMRS. The third one has been completed and is now being prepared for the necessary examinations. In the framework of the project 8 marine diesel generator sets with the unit capacity power of 4,7 MW are to be constructed. The employees have completed the following work: frame units manufacturing, installation of the engines and generators on the frames, equipment centering, installation of the auxiliary equipment including all necessary systems of the unit. After the completion of construction and conduction of the tests results, all of the sets will be demonstrated to the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping commissioner and the certificates of RMRS for each unit will be issued. All the production tests are conducted on the test bench owned by the Company. In order to examine the equipment, the test bench was adjusted to the specific requirements of the project.
The machinery in question is designed for the Icebreaker 7 – multipurpose sea vessels of enhanced ice class. These vessels are being constructed on the shipbuilding complex “Star Marine Technologies”, which is a part of the Rosneft company group.
